Day 1.

Our driver will pick you from your hotel up at 5 am then driving from your hotel to Stone Town where you will take the boat first boat at 7 am, going to Dar es Salam. I know you have never heard about Dar es Salam, let us let you know about it. Dar es Salam is the one of main cities of Tanzania with the most people population as you know Tanzania got 3 big cities such as Dar es Salam, Dodoma and Morogoro.

The boat riding will be for 1 hour and half from Zanzibar, Stone town to Dar es Salam and and we will arrive in Dar es Salam at 8:30 am, once we arrive in Dar es Salam, we will walk to the Train Station where we will take the second Train at 9:30 am, going to Morogoro Region, the second main city in Tanzania and we will arrive in Morogoro at 11:30 am, when we arrive in Morogoro Region, our another driver will pick us up from Train Station to Mikumi, we will drive for 1 and half till we arrive to Mikumi National Park, so we will be in Mikumi National Park at 1:30 pm.

So we arrive in Mikumi National Park, we will take our private Safari jeep, then paying for park entrance fees then we will get permission to enter the Park but before we start our Safari, we will have the lunch in the Park that lunch will be buffet lunch, so then after lunch we will start doing our half day Safari from 2 pm until the sunset at 6:30 pm, we will start looking for the important animals that are rarely to be seen such leopards, elephant, lions and giraffes, some other animal can been seen easily. We will continue with our Safari until 6:30 pm that it will be sunset time and then we will drive back to the Lodge, here you will overnight at Bandas Lodges inside the Park and you will have dinner inside the Park, enjoying the nature of the park.

Day 2.

On the day two, you will be doing your full day Safari with Massai Village, our jeep Safari and I will come to pick you up from your Lodge at 6:30 am then we will start doing our Safari until 9 am, then we will stop for breakfast, we will have breakfast near to your Lodge where you slept, then after the breakfast, you will have to do check out so you will take all your stuff because after Safari, you will sleep somewhere else. After taking all your stuffs, we will continue with our Safari until 1 pm, where we will stop for the lunch, we will have the lunch that will be buffet then after lunch, we will keep on doing our Safari until 3 pm, and our Safari will finish at 3 pm, then we will drive back out of the park so that we can go to visit Massai Village, we will drive directly to the Massai Village where we will have the time to explore about the Massai. The question is who are the Massai and why are they important to see?

Normally the Massai originally from south Egypt, moving across the desert to Sudan crossing the borders to Kenya and from Kenya to Tanzania, they crossed all the borders because they are herders so they were looking the food and water for their animals, they always have cows, goats, sheeps and dogs. They use the dogs for the animals security, normally the Massai language is called Ma and the tribe name is sai and we combine them together we get the Massai, more about the Massai tradition, you will learn during the Massai village.

So during the Massai village, you will explore many traditions such as visiting their small houses where they live, visiting their families and their animals also experience the culture and traditions as well as seeing traditional dancing. You will get enough informations about the Massai and after Massai village, we will drive to the Lodge and here you will overnight in Camp Bastian.

Day 3.

On the day three, we will only drive back to Morogoro, getting ready to take the train going back to Dar es Salam for the boat.

We will pick you up from the Camp Bastian at 7 am after the breakfast, then driving to Morogoro Region for 1 hour and half, then after getting to Morogoro Region, we will take the train at 9:50 am going back to Dar es Salam and we will arrive in Dar es Salam at 11:30 am then we will walk to the port, and then we will take boat at 12:30 pm going back to Zanzibar, we will arrive in Zanzibar port at 1:40 pm then we will take car, driving to your hotel in Zanzibar so around 3 pm, you will be already in your hotel but it will also depend on where is your hotel.

What the animals that can be seen in Mikumi National Park?

You can see the group for big 4 like Lions, Buffaloes. Leopard and Elephant, but you can also see other animals such as Zebras, Giraffes, Hippos, Crocodiles, Antelope, Impala, Warthog, Pumba and other animals and even the birds.
